Nominations for the RTS Craft and Design Awards 2020 announced

Last week the nominations for the RTS Craft & Design Awards 2020 were announced, and we’re thrilled to see our members so well-represented in the directing categories. 

In the Director - Comedy Drama/Situation Comedy category, Directors UK members Simon Hynd, Tom George and Ella Jones are nominated for There She Goes (Series 2), This Country (Series 3) and Enterprice (Series 2) respectively. Meanwhile in the Director - Documentary/Factual & Non Drama category, member James Bluemel is nominated for Once Upon a Time in Iraq, while member Edward Watts is nominated alongside Waad al-Kateab for For Sama. The category is completed by member Paddy Wivell, who is nominated for Prison.

In the Director – Drama category, Directors UK member Sam Miller is nominated alongside Michaela Coel for I May Destroy You, while member Destiny Ekaragha is nominated for The End of The F***ing World 2, and fellow member Lenny Abrahamson is nominated for Normal People. Finally, in the multicamera category, members Bridget Caldwell, Simon Staffurth and Julia Knowles are nominated for The Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance, VE Day 75: The People's Celebration, and VJ Day 75: The Nation Remembers respectively. 

Congratulations to all of the above and all of this year’s nominees across the categories. The final awards will be presented on Monday 23 November. Find a full list of nominations here
