The Directors Charitable Foundation was formed in 2015 when the three UK organisations which support directors in theatre, film and television joined forces to set up a new charity.
The Foundation draws on the experience and resources of the Directors Guild Trust, Directors UK and Stage Directors UK. A Board comprised of representatives from all three constituent organisations guides the work of the Foundation.
The Directors Support Scheme
The Directors Charitable Foundation is accepting applications for the Directors Support Scheme.
The Foundation makes small awards for emergency help to directors in acute need. Current and former directors for stage or screen are eligible to apply for financial support towards urgent medical needs, help with bills, rent or social care.
