Free carbon literacy training for Directors UK members, June 2016

Reading time: 1 minutes and 29 seconds

Free training is available for Directors UK members to help them get to grips with sustainability.

The BAFTA albert Consortium is a group supporting the screen art industry’s transition to an environmentally sustainable future. Directors UK is an albert affiliated organisation helping spread the albert message to members and delivering free training to help individuals get to grips with sustainability in their working practice.

Successful completion of the course equips delegates with the knowledge and skills to reduce their personal carbon footprints and to create productions in a more sustainable way.

Across the one day course, delegates:

  • will come to understand the impact of climate change and how to take action to reduce carbon emissions in both the workplace and at home
  • will gain the knowledge and skills to create productions in a more sustainable way

This is an excellent opportunity to network, pick up skills that are increasingly requested by members of the albert Consortium, and that will allow you to do your bit for saving the planet.

Directors UK Board member Steve Smith has previously written for us about the importance of sustainability and the role directors can play in keeping productions eco-friendly.

Course details:

Friday 3 June, 10.00am to 5.00pm.

Directors UK, 3rd & 4th Floor, 8-10 Dryden Street, London, WC2E 9NA.
