Sundance London announces short film competition

Reading time: 55 seconds

Sundance Film Festival makes its debut in London in April this year, and have launched a short film competition to mark the occasion.

The competition is held in partnership with Ravensbourne, and invites UK-based filmmakers to enter original pieces between three and five minutes in length around the theme ‘Story of Our Time’.

Robert Redford, Founder and President of Sundance Institute, said: “We are living through arguably some of the most profound years of rapid change in our lifetimes. Reflections and stories from filmmakers around the unifying theme of ‘Story of Our Time,’ we hope will open a window into both the challenge and the inspiration of these days.”

The competition deadline is February 28, 2012. The festival takes place from 26 – 29 April, 2012, at the O2, London. Films must be submitted via http://competition.sundance-london.com. Full guidelines can also be found there.
