Directors celebrated in 2021 RTS Craft and Design award nominations

This week, the nominations for the 2021 RTS Craft and Design awards were announced, and we were thrilled to see our members recognized for their work across all four directing categories. 

In the Director - Comedy Drama/Situation Comedy category, Ella Jones (Back to Life Series 2), Tom Kingsley (Ghosts) and Luke Snellin (Feel Good) have all received nominations.

In the Director - Documentary/Factual & Non Drama category, Deeyah Khan (Americas War on Abortion), Benedict Sanderson (The Detectives: Fighting Organised Crime) and Adam Wishart (9/11: Inside the Presidents War Room) have all been nominated. 

Meanwhile, in the Director – Drama category, Steve McQueen (Small Axe), Lewis Arnold (Time) and Peter Hoar (It’s A Sin) have all received nominations.

And finally, in the Director – Multicamera category, Julia Knowles, Nikki Parsons, Helen Scott & Simon Staffurth (The Funeral of HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh), Bridget Caldwell (The Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance) and Paul Dugdale (Glastonbury Festival: Live at Worthy Farm) have all been nominated for their work.

Congratulations to all of the above, and to all of this year’s nominees! You can read a full list of nominees here. The final winners will be announced at a London ceremony on Monday 22 November.
