Lynne Ramsay's We Need to Talk About Kevin triumphed at last night's London Critics' Circle Awards (19th January), picking up the trophy for Best British Film.

Other Brits with reason to celebrate included Asif Kapadia, whose film Senna scooped Best Documentary. There was also awards glory for Andrew Haigh, who won Breakthrough British Filmmaker for his film Weekend, and Don't Look Now director Nicolas Roeg, who was chosen for this year's Dilys Powell Award for Excellence in Film.

Best Film went to French film The Artist, directed by Michel Hazanavicius. For the complete list of winners, click here.
