Biography
I am a director with experience in directing award winning short films. My last short film script which I wrote, was selected for a scheme in association with the Italian Cinematographer Society, which enabled me to travel out to Italy and shoot the film in Catania, Sicily on 35mm film. The previous short film to that entitled ‘Mountain Of Light’ was shot at Pinewood Studios and starred Jaz Deol from Eastenders and was selected for nineteen international film festivals, including two BAFTA qualifying festivals. This included Aesthetica Film Festival in York in which I featured in a Director’s Q&A panel as part of a short film series that pushed boundaries. During my MA course I won a funding prize from One World Media which enabled me to travel to India to make my final film. This film and another which I made while on the course were shown at the London International Documentary Festival and a year later at a retrospective event of the festivals best films, in which I sat for a Director’s Q&A.
