Max is a director fuelled by an insatiable hunger for genre exploration and stylistically distinctive worlds. He began with heightened dramas but, through development, found a home in horror. Max crafts electrifying narratives that plunge relentlessly into deliciously nasty endings.
RHYME OR DIE, his horror-comedy, won BEST HORROR SHORT at the Atlanta Underground Film Festival and BEST SCREENPLAY SHORT at the BIFA-qualifying Manchester Film Festival. It was released online on Short of the Week and Watch Alter (892k views so far).
In 2023, Directors UK selected Max for their Inspire scheme, to receive yearlong mentoring by Lee Haven Jones, director of Ffilm Cymru Wales, supported THE FEAST. He is a BAFTA member through their Connect scheme.
His latest horror short, INEBRIATED, was shot in late June 2024 and was part-funded by the Arts University Bournemouth Alumni Fund. It stars Bethan Cullinane and Sharon Small.
