Biography
Jacqueline Pepall is an award-winning writer/ director for film and television. Her recent directing credits include the teen comedy GOLDIE’S OLDIES for Nickelodeon (2021) and 2nd unit on the BBC/ Netflix teen drama GET EVEN (2020). As a writer, Jacqueline’s work has been shortlisted for the BBC Drama Room, the Sundance Screenwriters Lab, and the Sundance Episodic Television Lab. Her feature film GOBLIN MARKET is in formal de- velopment with the BFI and Film London. Her feature film YOU TELL ME is in development with Clara Films (Chile). She is currently adapting the YA novel THE LAST WISH OF SASHA CADE for Dominion of Drama. She has additional television projects in development with The Lighthouse (UK) and New Pictures (UK).
Her short film credits (as writer/ director) include WHITE IS FOR VIRGINS (HBO Max), WISHIN’ & HOPIN’ (BFI Flare 2018, BAFTA long list), THE HOTEL AFFAIR (London Short Film Festival 2018), and OPHELIA’S END (Austin Film Festival 2017). She created and directed the contemporary dance series THEN DANCE (Sky Arts 2016) and the comedy pilot UPSTAGED (CBC Canada, winner: Best Pilot, LA Comedy Festival).
The UK Trade and Investment Commission recently selected Jacqueline for their “UK Tal- ent Goes to Hollywood” initiative, which pairs promising British directors with Hollywood studios. Jacqueline was the 2017 Hospital Club Foundation’s “Emerging Creative” for Film and Television. In 2018, she was listed as “One to Watch” by the Edinburgh TV Festival. She was part of the Edinburgh International Film Festival’s 2019 Talent Lab. She is the re- cipient of a John Brabourne Award.
