Biography
Paul is a London based writer and director, who also works as a freelance documentary editor.
His short films have screened at festivals around the world including Tribeca, Palm Springs, Rhode Island, the Iris Prize and Aesthetica and collectively have over 1.2M views online.
In 2019 he was selected as one of the winners from 1200 open submissions for The Uncertain Kingdom short film project. His environmentally themed magic-realist short THE LIFE TREE has been released as part of the collection on Amazon Prime, Curzon Home Cinema, BFI Player, iTunes and Google Play.
He is currently in development of a range of feature film and TV projects including TCHAIKOVSKY, for which he was awarded early development funding by the BFI and was paired with mentor Oliver Grieve as part of Phillip Shelley's Channel 4 Drama 4Screenwriting scheme 2020..
His previous shorts include DUNGEONS AND DRAG QUEENS (2019), a documentary commission for VICE, GOLD STAR (2018), and ROXANNE (2014) which has played at over 30 international festivals, been made a Vimeo staff pick and is on Amazon Prime as part of a collection of London-set shorts. It was funded by Absolut Vodka and premiered at LGBT Pride 2015.
