Biography

I’m a Writer Director of British-Jamaican heritage highlighting the human experience. I’m founder of Mediathirsty and member of Directors UK and BAFTA Connect. So far, I’ve had amazing HETV shadowing experiences, a week on S3 Slow Horses (See-Saw Films) for Apple TV, S1 Boarders (Studio Lambert) for BBC Three and S2 War of the Worlds (Urban Myth Films) for Apple TV. There’s always so much to glean from being on set. Each of these experiences taught me valuable lessons on the very unique role of a HETV director as well as directing in practice and overall have been extremely rewarding. In 2023, I completed BFI NETWORK supported, National Lottery funded and B3 Media development supported short, RETURNED; Psychologist Zoe yearns for re-connection. Starring Michelle Greenidge (KAOS, Doctor Who, It’s A Sin, I May Destroy You, Small Axe), Max Fincham & Jeffery Kissoon. The feature treatment for RETURNED was selected for development by Torino Film Lab. My first three indie shorts, KINDRED, CLEARING & ASUNDER have all screened internationally and have won several awards, including Best Director for ASUNDER at We Make Movies International in Los Angeles in 2022, also thrice Best Short Film, twice Best International Short Film, four Best Actor, a Platinum & 2 Gold REMI’s. These shorts have been included in Cannes Court Métrage, BAFTA-qualifying Aesthetica and British Urban Festivals, Canadian Screen qualifying Toronto Black, Halifax Black and Houston International Film Festivals, among others across the UK, France, USA, Canada, Ireland, Poland, St Vincent & Ghana.
