Biography
Gavin Williams début feature as a screenwriter, AWAIT FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS, was released in 2018. The film was a Critic’s Pick in the New York Times and is currently available to stream on Netflix. His short, SLEEPWORKING, which he both wrote and directed, won eight awards and played at over sixty international festivals. It is currently streaming exclusively on Gunpowder & Sky’s YouTube channel, DUST. In 2020 his script, THE POISON FOREST, was optioned by Amazon Studios for a feature or series adaptation, and his series, SYNCH ESTATE, recently received significant development funding from the British Film Institute’s Young Audience Content Fund. In 2017 Gavin established Feature Creep Films with his directing partner, Mark Lediard, and their first short together, CHROMOPHOBIA, premièred at the Trieste Science+Fiction Film Festival in 2019 and will début online on DUST’s sister channel, ALTER, later in 2020. Their second co-directed short, THE MIME, was commissioned by Fox Digital Studios. THE MIME will play at Canneseries 2020, FrightFest 2020 and Screamfest LA 2020 in October, before premièring on Freeform or FX channels, then streaming on Hulu as part of the Bitesize Horror slate of shorts around Halloween 2020.
