Richard Carroll

Richard Carroll is an award-winning writer/director whose work spans long form documentary and fictional entertainment, advertising and the arts. His documentary “7th&Hill” was awarded at the Palm Springs American Documentary Film Festival. His short films include commissions from Al Gore’s Live Earth initiative screening at Sundance and Tribeca, from Johnny Depp and from contemporary artist Ryan Gander. Other films have screened at Clermont Ferrand, Toronto and Short-Shorts Tokyo as well as IVCA for industrials and Cannes Lions for advertising work. His work has also included large-scale branded commercial projects for Fox Sports, Emirates, British Airways, Nokia, Nissan, BBC, Rolls Royce, Sony PlayStation and Audi. He has directed shoots in studios, on sets, stages and location in many territories, especially in the UK and Los Angeles and has a thorough understanding of the journey from script to screen. He has worked with some renowned DoP's and picks up the camera himself when required. He commissions original sound design and music scores.
