Biography

Having gained experience as a 3rd AD on 'A Loving Act' (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0301239/fullcredits?ref_=tt_cl_sm#cast), work experience as a 2nd AD and 3rd AD on various projects, I directed my debut feature film titled 'The Novelist' (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1387240/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_2) in November 2009. I then went on to direct a short period drama titled 'Joanna Vassa' (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1727320/) but unfortunately the UK television and film industry were not ready for a black director to direct period dramas. According to the 'Adjusting the Colour Balance' report there were no BAME directors directing period dramas. Because of this I continued to direct short period pieces using animatic storyboards such as 'The Swordsman of Trelawny' (https://vimeo.com/11860771 ) and 'Cato Street to Newgate' (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3624938/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1 ).
I am currently developing my second feature film.
