Biography

Originally from Liverpool, England, but now residing in Scotland, Steve is a self taught Director. He attended Riversdale College in Liverpool (1991 - 1993) gaining a BTEC in Audio / Visual Production before relocating to Scotland in 1997. In 2014, Steve wrote and directed his first feature film, ‘The Students of Springfield Street’ which he crowdfunded the £4,500 budget. The film played at multiple festivals around the world, accumulating in ‘Best Feature Film’ at the 2015 Aberdeen Film Festival
In 2018, Steve directed his second feature film ‘Convergence’ which he privately funded for only £3,500 and was shot with a skeleton crew of only four people in 30-days. ‘Convergence’ had its World Premier at Cineworld, Leicester Square, London, as part of the2019 British Independent Film Festival, where the film won ‘Best Feature Film’.  ‘Convergence’ went on to also win ‘Best Feature Film’ at the 2019 Cardiff International Film Festival as well as winning over 20 other awards. ‘Convergence’ received a limited theatrical release and as of May 2020, is available to rent and purchase on Amazon Prime Video.
Steve's latest feature film is the psychological thriller 'STALKER', staring Saturn Award Nominated Actor Sophie Skelton (Outlander), Welsh BAFTA Winning Actor Stuart Brennan (Risen, Kingslayer) and Wrestling Legend Bret 'The Hitman' Hart (WWE).

'STALKER' is Executive Produced by Golden Globe winning producer Gareth Wiley (Vicky, Cristina, Barcelona, Match Point, Cassandra's Dream); produced by international award-winning production company Stronghold, written by Chris Watt (The Mire, Bruise) and shot by Director of Photography Simon Stolland (Blue Story, Sumotherhood). The film is represented for Sales in the UK & Internationally by Kaleidoscope Film Distribution.

'STALKER' had its WORLD PREMIERE at The Prince Charles Cinema, Leicester Square as part of FRIGHTFEST 2022 and was released in the UK on DVD and Home Digital Platforms on 10th October 2022.

Steve is currently developing a number of other projects.
