Biography
Award winning London-based writer/director. Directing credits include a micro-budget feature 'Dolls Can't Cry' (2012, staring BIFA awarded Lara Belmont) and several short films that have been screened at more than 80 festivals. 'Last Day of Summer' won Young Artist Academy Awards in LA for Best Performance ('kiddies Oscars'), Remi Award at 53rd Worldfest Houston and Afrodite Award in Rome. 'My Friend Ivor' won UNCHOSEN Award for Best Modern Slavery Film. 'Brothers' was a Finalist at Sundance London Short Film Competition. Recently she has been selected for Directors UK year long Mentoring scheme with Miranda Bowen ('Killing Eve', 'The Last Post').
Aleksandra also has experience working as a VFX artist and on-set VFX supervisor on films and TV dramas for Netflix, HBO and BBC ('Chernobyl', 'Outlander', 'Behind Her Eyes', 'Letter for the King', 'Discovery of Witches'). In 2011 she won with her team an Emmy Award for Outstanding Visual Effects.
