Biography
I am a freelance professional Director and Writer actively working and seeking work within the Film and TV industry. After several years of working in business I left at the age of 30 to pursue my long-held dreams of working in the film industry. I have a range of skills and experience which I can bring to any situation or work environment including my organisation skills and my ability to follow as well as lead. I bring passion to all I do and work well with others. Working quickly and proficiently to deadlines is something I pride myself in being able to do well. In July 2018 I sought to write, produce and develop my own films through a production company I set up called Twisted Root Productions. My goal is to produce visual content that resonates with viewers and to bring a new level to independent production. My first short film ‘Underland’, completed in July 2018, gained a small amount of success immediately having been picked up by Producer Tony Newton to become a part of the anthology feature Grindsploitation 666. Since then it has also made the Official Selection list of the 10thAnnual Lady Filmmakers Festival which took place in Beverly Hill, Los Angeles, as well as a number of other US based festivals. It has recently been picked up to show at the Horror-On-Sea Film Festival in Essex in January 2019. As a nice addition it has just won 2 Honorable Mention Awards at LA based award festivals. My next short film ‘Adam’ is already in production and due to be released in January. Following the success of Underland, I am pleased to have bought in actor Tim Faraday (Primeval, Legend, Snatch, The Ghost) to join the cast of ‘Adam’. Following this I also have a feature film and a tv series in-development which are currently in the scriptwriting stages. Alongside working on my own films and developing Twisted Root Productions I work on other productions, some more low key than others. I have recently done some work on Harvest of the Dead 2: Halloween Night, Love Type D and Zombie Rush.
