Biography

Annabel is a writer/director with a range of award-winning shorts and extensive commercial experience.  Her commissioned feature screenplay SKYWARD is in active development with SKIPYARD PRODUCTIONS.   Her last short films GRANBAD, SKIP GIRL and LETTERBOX have screened at international film festivals including multiple BAFTA, BIFA and Academy qualifying ones;  they have won fourteen awards with a further ten nominations between them. 

Annabel founded her production company WAX FILMS  in 2007.  It began its incarnation with an on-line nine-part series for Wildlife Watch. Wax continues to make innovative content of all shapes and sizes for big brands like HEINEKEN, charities like THE WILDLIFE TRUSTS and artisans like NKUKU. 

Annabel is film graduate from The University of Westminster. She began her career as an editor based at Ealing Studios, then went on to join James Lebon's production company, Love Films, who were making music videos for emerging West London hip-hop artists. Later she worked for Billy Connolly’s production company Tickety-Boo, directing and editing his live show DVDs including ‘Two Night Stand’.

As well as SKYWARD and multiple short screenplays Annabel is writing two other feature scripts BEDTIME STORIES and BOTANICA, and two TV comedies THE ANARCHISTS’ COOKBOOK and BISHOP’S GREEN SOCIAL CLUB.
