Biography
Adam Butcher is an award–winning writer and director and recent graduate of the Berlinale Talents campus. He has written and directed many successful short films, with four Vimeo Staff Picks to his name. His viral thriller Internet Story attracted over a million views in the first week of release, while Bradley Manning Had Secrets continues to play at festivals worldwide and won ‘Best Short Film’ at Mix Copenhagen 2013. His most recent short film The Prevailing Winds was funded by Film London and premiered at the BFI London Film Festival.
Adam previously worked for BBC Creative, directing promos for big brands such as The Last Kingdom and Doctor Who – but he left in order to pursue a full-time career in Feature Film and TV. Among a slate of projects, Adam is developing a science-fiction TV Series and recently finished writing a feature adaptation of Internet Story for Western Edge Pictures (Third Star, Prevenge).
