Biography
Richard Harrison is an award winning Writer, Director and Producer whose first feature film, ‘The Honey Killer’ has become a cult hit since its release on Amazon Prime in 2018. Between 2019-2020 the film was pirated to such an extent it has went viral, running at over 60m hits on Google in nine different languages of illegal torrent and streaming sites. It became a bonafide, underground, world-wide hit. It was released world wide on iTunes, Amazon Prime and Google Play in 2020.
Richard’s second feature film script, ‘Handful of Thieves’, a fast moving bank heist movie set in southern Spain has also received a lot of acclaim and nominated for Best Original Screenplay in the Beverly Hills Film Festival 2018. Currently being pitched for £5-6m budget film in 2022.
Richard has won a total of six awards for filmmaking and Scriptwriting and his background prior to ‘The Honey Killer’ covers Producing or Directing well over 60 television programmes across a wide variety of channels, from ITV, Ch 4, Sky One, Ch 5, Discovery and National Geographic. He also Wrote, Produced and Co-Directed a highly acclaimed short film, ‘Sweet Thing’ which he wrote, Produced and Directed starring BAFTA nominated actor Johnny Harris, Brookside’s Lisa Faulkner and Geoffrey Hughes from The Royle Family.
