Biography

I am an award-winning Film Maker & Director with considerable experience creating innovative factual content & commercials for major broadcast, blue chip & public-sector clients including BBC; C4; Sky; Discovery Channel; National Geographic; Star Alliance; RBL; Omega; Rolex; WWF; UNESCO; and Airbus.

Beginning my career as an Independent Film Maker I joined the Discovery Channel in 1998 as a Promo Producer & Director of branding pieces & short films. I also acted as Channel Head from 2003 to 2005. In 2007, I established Right Angle Films Ltd, working as a Freelance Director, Camera & Editor with numerous broadcast credits for documentaries, promos, commercials, short docs and branding films.

Across assignments I utilise my diverse global shoot experience writing, directing & editing content across genres & subject matters to drive inspired storytelling. This includes, as Director/DP, creating a series of 1 minute spots as part of a major advertising campaign for National Geographic – ‘Through the Lens’ – to promote South Africa Tourism. This has resulted in 4 recommissions with 8 films made to date.
