Biography
I am an accomplished director and writer known for my work in film. My accolades include the 2023 BAFTA longlisted short film WanderLand, which is currently in development as a feature film with Old Hall Films and Genera Films. Among my other notable short films are Kaleidoscope, nominated for the DirectorsUK Directors Award at Film The House in 2019, as well as the award-winning Powerless and Asphyxiate.
Currently, I have two films making waves on the festival circuit: the high-budget folk horror short Progeny and the compelling drama 2k5, both selected at prestigious film festivals, including those qualifying for BIFA consideration. As a mentee in the DirectorsUK Inspire Scheme 2024-2025, I’m fortunate to receive mentorship from Jim Loach, whom I shadowed during Sky Drama's Lockerbie: A Search for Truth in April 2024.
I’m actively developing four feature films, including the highly anticipated Like Mother, which expands on the narrative of WanderLand, as well as an undisclosed project. Additionally, I showcase my literary side as a novelist under the pen name Charlotte Bedgood. My debut novel, The Dawn of the Lightning Goddess, marks the beginning of an exciting five-book series.
