Biography

An award winning director of short films, theatre and narrative music promos, I've been observing US sitcoms being taped in Los Angeles and shadowing incredible BAFTA nominated TV directors (incl. Jill Robertson with credits on The Feed for Amazon, Harlots for Hulu and Humans for C4/ABC) and have producer experience on some of my own projects as well as mixed media, animated and VFX heavy TV commercials. I like to make excellent use of locations, find creative solutions to any issues and cultivate a considerate, light-hearted and calm working atmosphere.

At the moment, I'm writing TV scripts and comedy sketches (at Groundlings Theatre, LA) and looking for 2nd unit TV/Film directing as I develop my craft and meet people I can work with in future.

I'm most interested in psychological + thrilling stories for a contemporary audience. I especially like to depict female + social outsider perspectives with cinematic visuals + a light touch, to create poetic realities + moments of extreme empathy.

My last award-winning short film X Anniversary with actor Keeley Forsyth is on the festival circuit and has won Best Actor and Best Cinematography awards at international film festivals.
Catfish Shorts Film Festival 2020, London UK - Best Actor award win
Shore To Shore Film Festival 2020, LA USA - Best Cinematography award win
The film also received a Best Cinematography nomination at Underwire Festival in 2019.

I also joined Screenskills + Directors UK workshop webinar on the Craft of Multi-Camera Directing Studio Comedy with Barbara Wiltshire during this year's Covid-19 shut down.
