Biography

I am an Irish-born, London-based award winning short film director. The ability to tell stories, whether serious or humorous, to help understand our collective unconscious, and what makes human beings tick, is what really excites me. 'Finding My Feet' was made in partnership with Branded Studios in 2020. Telling the story of Simon Sansome's journey from becoming disabled by medical negligence, and his fight back for justice leading him to become one of the UK's most prominent disability campaigners. The film succeeded in raising interest and finance for a feature documentary which is currently storming international film festivals, and winning many awards.Short film 'Gypsy's Kiss' was made with support of the Directors UK & ARRI Challenge ALEXA competition 2017. The film was shot in March of that year, and premiered at a Directors UK industry screening in May. Starring BAFTA winner Gemma Jones and Una Stubbs, the film was long listed for a BAFTA in 2018 and had a very successful international festival run. Comedy 'Social Networking Socially - Society Through Technology' was made as part of Straight8, (shoot on one roll of 8mm film, edit in camera). We were delighted to win Top 8 best films of the competition, and the film premiered at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in 2016. Silent comedy 'Wipeout' was made in 7 days as part of the Aarhus Short Film Challenge 2014, where it won an Honourable Mention and was in the Top Ten Films of the Festival. 'Wipeout' had a successful festival run, picking up 'Best Silent Film' and 'Audience Awards' and playing at 25 international film festivals. ‘STOP’, my Film London funded drama, has had enormous success on the international film festival circuit, winning many awards, including four Best Actor Awards and a Special Mention at the Film London Best of Borough Awards in 2012. The film premiered at the renowned Palm Springs Shortsfest and screening at 20 subsequent festivals. It was Rankin’s Collabor8te ‘Film of the Week’, and came second in Shooting People's 'Film of the Month' in 2015, being praised by judge David Oyelowo as "beautifully performed and nicely shot, this film satisfyingly and impressively plumbs deep emotional depths in a very short time" . "Next!’ an online comedy series I directed, about the perils of auditions written by and starring comedians Haiste and Lawrence, was on the long list for the 2014 British Comedy Awards. In the commercial world my clients include Saatchi & Saatchi, Barclays, The Sunday Times, The Times, Volkswagen, Unilever, and Diesel.I'm currently working with a number of writers developing a number of different projects; shorts, feature length dramas, as well as seeking opportunities to direct television drama.

You'll then be able to add and manage your credits through the 'Manage Credits' link on your profile.

After you've made changes, or added credits, they need to be manually verified by our team, so it may take several days before you see the updates on your profile.
