Biography
I have 20 years experience in broadcast television across a diverse range of genre. I have tried to resist pigeon holes: I began as a photographer, then worked in drama whilst doing a masters in cinema, then into documentary. I studied my craft with award winning director-producers at UK’s top production companies on series to singles. Simultaneously I worked as a self-shooting-producer-director for C4News, Guardian Films and ITN. Since returning to Scotland in 2007 I’ve continued with the broadcast sector but shifted focus to creatively ambitious observational features docs set over long periods of time. Three are in late stages of production.

What People Say https://www.littlegreenislandfilms.co.uk/what-people-say
The power of story, music and image to move audiences viscerally is what excites me when attached to character-led stories about inspired change-makers. One of my films The Sea & The Spirit of Scotland, has evolved out of my life in a fishing village in the northwest. The other films are around women's stories and indigenous knowledge.
