Biography
Having been brought up within the world of Roxy Music and Latin American musicians Charlie has always been surrounded by fascinating characters. This is one of the reasons why he always brings out the best in high profile talent. After graduating from UCL and attending film school in Mexico City he went straight into directing a documentary for the most successful Spanish rock band of all time, Heroes Del Silencio. Since then he has made documentaries, short films & music videos for artists including Duran Duran, Roxy Music, Stereophonics, Graham Coxon (Blur), The Pierces, Miles Kane and Bat for Lashes. From there he moved into commercials working mostly for beauty, fashion & car brands, including, Mercedes Benz, Vauxhall, Schwarzkopf, Wella, Pantene, Olay, P&G beauty, Maxfactor, Vivienne Westwood, Jaeger, Aquascutum, Perrier-Jouët & F&F. In long form Charlie was the series director on Elite New Face - Season 2, a six part series broadcast on Hulu in the US and his feature length documentary for the band Placebo was selected for the inaugural Sundance London Film Festival.
