Barry Ryan – MD & Creative Director, Free@Last TV
Barry Ryan has over 25 years’ experience as a content creator, journalist, broadcast journalist and TV Producer/Director. He was a BBC Trainee and worked across a variety of genres including factual, factual entertainment, Children’s, music & Entertainment, Documentaries & history, science, features, Entertainment and arts. He has worked for BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Five and many others as series and Executive Producer. He was part of the launch team of UKTV channels and BBC digital service BBC Choice. He was head at Bi-lingual and Bi-national TV channel Propeller TV and expanded the service from 2 hours a day to 24 and launched the service on the Freeview platform. He has been a consultant for many clients including Sony Music, Roar Global, the MOBO Organisation, Shanghai Media Group and Sainsbury’s. He has produced prime-time programmes for ITV, BBC, MTV, VH1, ITV1,2,3,4 and many others.
He is currently the executive producer of Agatha Raisin on Sky One which has been commissioned to a series after a successful pilot in 2014.
