Biography
I am a versatile, highly experienced Producer/Director & Edit Producer and an accomplished newspaper-trained journalist with a broad range of skills, including fluent German and French. I have made observational and presenter-led documentaries on sensitive subjects, for which I have gained and maintained difficult access. I have also worked across a wide spectrum of specialist factual and current affairs programmes and directed multi-camera shoots and reconstructions.
I have strong writing and storytelling skills, plus a very good nose for those wonderful quirky characters who make great television.
I have a solid track record in foreign filming in India, the Middle East, South Africa, the US, New Zealand, plus Eastern and Western Europe. My credits include films for Netflix, Apple TV, BBC1, BBC2, BBC4, BBC World News, Channel 4, Channel 5, Sky Atlantic, Sky Arts, Yesterday, the Travel Channel (USA), Discovery Plus, Discovery Networks International, The Science Channel, TLC, National Geographic, Paramount +, ZDF and Planète. I ran a team on Watchdog for BBC1 and series produced and directed six presenter-led investigative programmes for RTÉ in Ireland. I have also been involved in the creation of a new format & recently wrote a pitch which secured a four-part series commission from Canal + in Paris.
