Biography
Tristan Anderson is a London based BAFTA winning documentary filmmaker whose films and TV shows have been broadcast in over 15 countries internationally including in the UK on the BBC, Channel 4, the Community Channel and on the Emmy award winning Current TV. His films have garnered national press coverage with features in the Guardian, the Daily Mail, The Telegraph, the Daily Express, the London Metro and The Sunday Times.
His work focuses on a variety of areas and diverse subject matters including; drugs and awareness, the experiences of under-age drinkers, facial scars, the reality of fame, grey hair, health, identity, music, perceptions of sexuality, science, sport and the Olympics, sub cultures, substance dependency, sky diving and youth cultures. Tristan is equally happy filming alone as a self shooting director or directing larger multi-camera crews.
Tristan created, produced and directed two series - 12 x 30 minute episodes of the factual entertainment series ‘What Did I Do Last Night?’ which has been sold and broadcast around the world with the distributor DRG representing the show’s format and sales. After a successful online distribution campaign, Tristan’s documentary 'Sexy Girls Have It Easy’ has been viewed over 3 million times online via YouTube and Vimeo.
Tristan regularly attends international film festival to speak on panels and lead workshops and master classes. His passion for documentary filmmaking lead him to co-found ‘Doc Heads’, a dedicated documentary screening, networking and funding organization that promotes the work of other documentary film makers through screening and networking events.
