Jim Shields

Attended Glasgow School of Art, moved to Sheffield Polytechnic, 2:1 degree film, video, photography. Twice winner Fuji Film Competition. Attended NFTS, directed BAFTA nominated 'The Unkindest Cut'. Worked at JGP 1990-92, moved home to Glasgow directed various arts, docs, commercials, childrens drama and comedy, adult comedy and drama and soaps. Regular director on 'River City', episodes twice nominated for BAFTA Scotland 'Best Drama' (2006/2009). Debut novel 'Baby Strange' published April 2014.
