Description
Series Producer: CTVC for BBC2. 3x60. Second series of a prime time specialist factual soft format commissioned by BBC Religion and Ethics. It’s accessible and humorous, covering a challenging physical and emotional journey which integrates religion, history and travel. Eight celebrities (including Lesley Joseph, Les Dennis, Brendon Cole and Stephen K Amos) live as pilgrims, meet local characters and explore 1000km of this ancient and isolated route. They hike across the Swiss Alps and follow the path south to Rome, where they have an extraordinary and moving private audience with the Pope. Took the series from development through to delivery. Location SP: Garden for C5. 10x60. Cast of 24 attempt to survive in stone age conditions for two months as they forage, hunt, fish and live as two competing tribes. This social experiment was filmed obs doc and set in a primordial Bulgarian hunting forest. Worked closely with exec and had responsibility for editorial, as well as managing a large crew and survival experts. Edit produced show 10.
