Freelance Producer/Director, self-shooting Director, Photographer
I'm a freelance TV Producer/Director who specialises in documentary films about People, Wildlife, Popular Science, Sports and Adventure. I have worked in television for 14 years - 12 of those years employed at the BBC (NHU, Science & DC&F). Since 2009 I have worked as a freelance P/D for the BBC and Indies. I am also a camera operator and photographer.
My goals are to continue making excellent films that excite me as a filmmaker and that people find fascinating and compelling to watch.
Formats: Docs, obs-doc, drama-doc, ‘as live’ studio, long/short films, high/low budget
Specialist skills:
Self-shooting. Camera operator/Self-shooting director (Cameras e.g. EX3 with nanoflash, Z1/Z7, PD170, A1, Canon 5D II, Canon XF105 & XF305).
Basic sound recording.
Photography. City & Guilds certificate (Distinction). Publicity stills.
Diving skills. HSE qualified commercial media diver. PADI Dive Master & BSAC Dive Leader.
Day Skipper.
Climbing skills.
