Biography

BAFTA Award winning Director Marcus DF White studied Drama at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland formerly RSAMD and at Glasgow University then worked and trained in Drama Production at the BBC in London for ten years. Marcus attained a place on the highly competitive BBC Directors Course and went on to direct successful and commercial dramas such as The Bill, Casualty, Taggart and BAFTA award winning Childrens Series Jeopardy and Roman Mysteries. As a former Deputy Chair of the Events Committee at BAFTA, Marcus is a lifetime member of BAFTA and also sat on the Advisory Board for the National Film and Television School and on the Artistic Advisory Board of TAPS, the unique scheme for new writers for Film and Television. Committed to developing educational links to the Film and TV industry he has produced and directed master classes and made films for RADA and the London Film and Video College and has taught Film and TV technique at the Actors Studio, The Drama Studio London and at the RCS. His production company can-u-see.tv was formed to develop new drama for film and television, to mentor new film makers and screen writers and to work in partnership with training bodies throughout the UK to promote writing and production skills.
