Biography

I'm an award-winning director with a track record of writing and directing films with style, visual flair and gripping narratives. These include the Grierson nominated, 'Censored at the Seaside', the feature length drama docs 'JFK: Seven Days That Made a President' and 'Ten Ways to Kill bin Laden'. I've also written and directed many other films for US and UK broadcasters including 'The Connecticut Conspiracy' and 'The Real MacGyver' for the prison escape series 'Breakout' for Nat Geo and 'Queen Camilla' for Channel 4. As well as producing, directing and writing dozens of highly rated and critically acclaimed documentaries I have also directed films for many big US & UK entertainment shows including 'CNN Heroes' which won a Peabody Award in 2012 for excellence in public service broadcasting. I have a built a reputation of making innovative and great looking films and bringing ideas to fruition on time and on budget. My short, ‘The Last Thing to go Through a Fly’s Mind’ has won numerous awards including Moving Pictures Magazine’s best narrative short award and Shooting People’s best comedy award at the London Short Film Festival. A man is killed in a car crash and given an ultimatum by God; repent or suffer for eternity. The man refuses and is reincarnated as lowlier creatures until until he sees the error of his ways. Finally, as a fly, he discovers the meaning of life and repents only to be robbed of happiness by an ironic twist of fate. 2006
