I started in the film business in the 90’s as a floor runner while studying Communications at Nottingham Trent University, and then worked as a producer, taking up TV and film drama directing in 2005. Throughout the last 20 years I have been directing corporates and commercials for businesses and continue to do so while directing film and TV drama.
I teach as a visiting lecturer in directing and producing at various Universities and work as an industry assessor for Creative Skillset and as an external examiner on film and television BA and MA courses.
In 2010 I was awarded the Variety Critics Choice Award for the film Be All and End All which I directed and produced. The film won over 9 awards and was nominated in many more international festivals. More recently I directed the TV movie Social Suicide and I presently have several films in development.
Outside of work I enjoy stand up paddle boarding, surfing, sailing, snorkelling, cycling and hillwalking. More of my work can be found on
