Biography
I’m a double Emmy Award winning director of documentaries, commercials and brand films with a wealth of international credits. Specialisms include sports, travel/tourism & true crime and work that requires sensitivity and insight. I have been at the creative helm of work for the BBC, ITV, Channel 5, National Geographic and NBC and some of the world’s most iconic brands including: Amazon · AIA · Bacardi · Barclays Birmingham International Airport · Chevrolet · Continental Tyres · Etihad Airways Emirates Airlines · The Football Association · Ladbrokes · Goodyear · Jumeirah Group · Nivea · P&G · Panasonic · Qatar Airways · Sega · Sony · Umbro
I have been directing professionally since graduating in 1995 with First Class Honours from the Film and Photographic Arts BA at Westminster. I work closely alongside clients and colleagues in order to hone memorable stories and draw out meaningful and powerful performances. With strong technical skills (camera and post-production) and more than twenty years experience, working with leading broadcasters, creative agencies and blue chip clients across the globe, I have a broad skill set.
Alongside projects throughout the UK I have worked extensively overseas, firmly believing that with an outsider’s eye one can view things afresh and turn the everyday into something remarkable on screen. This approach has taken me from Dubai to the Arctic shaping films that get noticed, ever mindful of budgets, deadlines and client expectations and always with an uncompromising attention to detail.
