Biography
Bernard is an award-winning TV executive producer, producer/director with over 30 years experience in the business. His speciality is wildlife, nature and people documentaries, including short dramas. His enthusiasm is communicating intelligent and memorable stories on film. He has created and produced documentaries with several international TV broadcasters, such as BBC, ITV, Channel 5, National Geographic Channel, Animal Planet, Smithsonian Channel, PBS/WNET13 and Terra Mater. Bernard is available to work as a freelance executive producer, producer, director, writer, or consultant. He has devoted his career to the story telling of people, nature, history, cultures, travel, adventure, arts, music, photography, cinema and TV. He is also interested in creative business venture, entrepreneurism, innovation, creativity, finance, philanthropy and charity. He has a PhD in Physiology and Honours Degree in Natural Sciences at Trinity College Dublin. He spent 21 years at the BBC Natural History Unit and 12 years running Aqua Vita Films.
