Biography

CHRISTIAN TRUMBLE / www.christiantrumble.com Christian is a Grierson nominated documentary filmmaker known for his versatility. He has directed everything from political thrillers, featuring Britain’s most controversial politician in "Nigel Farage: The Man Who Made Brexit", to the ratings-busting "The Parachute Murder Plot," which was a hit for ITV and then became a top 10 show on Netflix. Christian’s films always place character front and centre to create narratives that connect with the audience and take them on an emotional journey. He regularly tackles complex subjects and approaches every film by combining journalistic rigour with visual flair. His work has received widespread recognition; the political satire ‘Carry On Brussels’ was heralded in the ‘Best TV of 2018’ by The Guardian. ‘Obsessive Compulsive Hoarder’ was Channel 4’s highest-rated documentary of the year, with 4.1M and earned a special commendation at The Grierson Awards. “The Secret World Of Lego”, which lifts the lid on the cult like world of the global super brand, was another Grierson nominated ratings winner and was screened at international festivals by the British Council. Christian’s recent projects continue to captivate global audiences, with "The Priest and The Paedophile Hunter," a compelling true-crime morality tale, and Netflix's blockbuster sports documentary "Break Point."
