Biography

Sax’s multi award-winning debut premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and was selected for many prestigious festivals worldwide. The Lifetime Channel selected Sax as one of six most promising new women directors in the US for a showcase presented by Anjelica Huston. At this time, Sax was also selected for New Directions, a scheme which showcased six most promising new directors in the UK. Alumni include: Lynne Ramsay, Asif Kapadia, Nick Love, Menhaj Houda and Peter Mullen. The Fishmonger's Daughter was selected by the London Film Festival for Brits in Spotlight, nominated for the Bafta shortlist for best short film and qualified for the Oscars. With over forty theatrical features to her credit as script supervisor, Sax has had the privilege of working alongside some of the industries' most diverse and celebrated directors including: Warren Beatty, James Ivory, Peter Yates, Jon Avnet, Kevin Reynolds, Jerry Zucker, Ken Branagh and Paul Anderson. During this period she moved to Los Angeles and took time out to attend UCLA to study screenwriting and directing. Sax is in development to direct her own screenplay Past Imperfect which is currently being cast for a September shoot.
