Biography

Hannah is a Scottish writer and director who won the American Screenwriters’ Association Grand Prize and a Silver Page Award for Drama for her co-written feature FIREWORKS, which has Ewen Bremner attached as the lead and is being supported by the Wellcome Trust. Her original screenplay TESLA GIRL has been developed with the support of Peter Ettedgui and the Scottish Film Talent Network. She is currently writing a screen adaptation of Janice Galloway's memoirs ALL MADE UP for La Belle Allée Productions. Her work is usually comic in tone and she continues to work as a screenwriting consultant for the comedian and writer Sir Lenny Henry. As a director she has a raft of prize winning short films under her belt - the half hour NIGHT SWIMMER won the Grand Prix at Vendôme Film Festival, SHEILA won Best European director in Rome, and IN THE MOOD - featuring Kelly Brook as a tap-dancing German spy – won silver in Mumbai and was a worldwide feel good festival hit. Hannah has worked as a journalist for The Scotsman and The List magazine, and is the author of 'Secret Edinburgh, an Unusual Guide' (Jonglez) currently the best selling guide to Edinburgh.
