Anne-Claire Pilley

I am an observational documentary film maker with credits for the BBC One, BBC Three, BBC Scotland and Channel 4. Having worked my way up from independent film-maker with the British documentary Film foundation, through First Cut and 3MW and ‘Fresh’, I’ve recently focussed on making hour long films on subjects as varied as primary school proms (Pre-Teen Proms – BBC One Scotland), a young couple whose lives were convulsed by the fiance’s injuries in Afghanistan (My boyfriend the war Hero – BBC One/ Three) and looking for love with when you have learning disabilities (Seeking Someone Special – BBC Two Scotland). I have won two Scottish New Talent Baftas and was nominated for Best Producer/Director Debut at the Edinburgh TV festival awards. I have a track record of developing up my own ideas as well as coming fresh to pre-developed productions. As a mother of two I have recently kept my work local, focussing my efforts on Scottish-based productions.
