Biography

Paul Olding is a BAFTA nominated (Best DIRECTOR), multi award winning Tv and Film Director working across Drama and Documentary. Recent work includes the feature length scripted period drama docs Wallis: The Queen that never Was and Albert:The Power behind Victoria, plus Autopsy (Rodney King and Maurice Gibb), and directing BBC Serial drama 'Doctors'.

Documentary work includes Wonders of the Solar System and Wonders of Life with Prof Brian Cox, The Mystery of Rome's X Tombs with Dr Michael Scott, How we Got to Now with Stephen Johnson, Origins of Us, Earth:The Power of the Planet and Horizon.

Paul is experienced in a wide range of genres from short form cinema to serial TV drama, from history and science, and from big budget blue chip, to low cost self shoots. Paul has a wide knowledge of filming styles and filming technologies and has been instrumental in creating truly innovative CGI. He has worked across the globe, from lava lakes in Ethiopia, to the streets of India, from the rainforests of Costa Rica, to the suburbs of Birmingham. Paul brings an imaginative and dynamic vision to each venture, readily adapting to changing situations, yet maintaining a quality aesthetic on screen.
