Biography

PROFILE Christopher Nicholson is a scientifically trained visual artist. He has created media for major blue-chip companies, feature films, short films, cinema and TV commercials, dramas, trailers, documentaries and live events. He is also skilled in team management and client facing, is highly creative, fast, reliable and efficient as well as especially capable of delivering difficult projects on time and on budget. ACHIEVEMENTS First in the UK to create a cinema commercial digitally in association with Sony, first to create a commercial that incorporated live action footage in a Virtual Studio in association with Molinare and first to create a narrative drama with Vision 2 T-Grain film stock in association with Kodak. Christopher’s work with disadvantaged teenagers from the Prince’s Trust resulted in him receiving a personal commendation from HRH Prince Charles. Creative Director and Executive Producer of a number of charity projects including nationwide cinema and TV campaigns for Crisis and Marie Curie Cancer Care. Christopher is a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Bedfordshire’s MA and MSc programme in Digital Filmmaking and has been a Guest Lecturer at film and drama schools throughout the UK including LAMDA, The Actor's Temple, The Actor's Centre, Central London School of Dramatic Art, The Arts Institute, International School of Screen Acting, Mountview. Christopher is developing a new process of three-dimensional filmmaking called NVE®, Natural Viewing Experience, a process that compared to current 3D methods, is far more agreeable for the audience, requires no 3D fixing in Post-Production, is robust and quick to use, is very actor-friendly and is backwardly compatible with all current 3D filmmaking techniques. NVE® has been described by patent lawyers as a potential industry game-changer. Christopher is also a Trustee and Board Member of the Directors Guild of Great Britain.
