Lorne Magory

As a freelance director his wide ranging experience extends from WORLD IN ACTION to EMMERDALE. Other broadcast television credits include 4 series of the BAFTA award winning PRESS GANG; THE LODGE a network young people's drama series from Central Television; Thames TV / Nickelodeon's revived kids series THE TOMORROW PEOPLE; the drama series WAVELENGTH for Yorkshire TV and the action adventure series, LIFE FORCE, with Damien Lewis, commissioned by ITV network. Combining elements of X-Files meets Waterworld, Lorne shot for almost 4 months around northern England and Loch Lomond in Scotland.  For the independent sector, he produced a series of 9 dramas for Longman Training, which are among their top selling titles. The job required instinct for story, editorial judgment, understanding the audience, generating new ideas and developing them into successful projects. Lorne led the production team, commissioned treatments, scripts, worked with the writers. He also closely monitored and managed budgets and schedules as well as presenting results and reports to board level management.
