Ian Lilley

A multi award-winning director and producer of a wide range of projects, Ian Lilley has originated and made many successful series and singles for all the major UK broadcasters. Trained at the BBC, Ian was an editor before becoming a director and producer, specialising in current affairs, social issues, and history. 

Now, a raft of observational documentaries like the mischievous Bank of Dave series, recently re-worked into a scripted feature for Netflix; dramatised history docs (Russian Revolution); and political series (The Day Britain Died) sit alongside a much wider group of award-winning projects like Scotland and the Klan and My Childhood.
