Phil Hawkins
Biography
Phil Hawkins is an award-winning feature film and commercials director. He's directed countless high profile television campaigns shot in countries all over the World and made seven feature films released by Netflix, Sony & Lionsgate. From adaptations of Greek tragedy and a Philip Pullman YA novel, to comedy satire and psychological thrillers, Phil's work crosses many genres but is always imbued with a sense of wonder and cinematic style whilst capturing nuanced performances from Oscar-nominated veterans and young talent alike.
He directed PRANCER: A CHRISTMAS TALE, starring James Cromwell for Universal Pictures and recently ROBIN AND THE HOOD for Sky Studios. The family fantasy adventure movie stars Naomie Harris, Gwendoline Christie, Mark Williams and over 50 children!
He also wrote & directed what is probably the most expensive fan film ever made. STAR WARS: ORIGINS was a passion project shot in the Sahara Desert that took 3 years to make. Highly praised by Mark Hamill himself, it's been critically acclaimed as an "epic masterpiece".
