Biography

After graduating from law school, Dan worked as a video assist operator and set editor on a large number of studio films, whilst building his portfolio as an independent writer/director/producer. In 2019 he made national headlines after the release of his debut feature film Lad: A Yorkshire Story which became a sleeper hit on Amazon during the pandemic. This followed the success of his earlier BAFTA Cymru nominated short film Love You, Joseff Hughes. More recently Dan was the director and EP, alongside Producer Simon Chinn of worldwide critically acclaimed BAFTA and Emmy nominated HBO/Sky feature documentary David Holmes: The Boy Who Lived. Dan resides in Buckinghamshire and is a father of two.
