Suzie’s first screenplay ONE MORE KISS, produced by Paul Brooks (My Big Fat Greek Wedding) and staring Gerry Butler (The 300) won the Audience Award at the Atlantic Film Festival. The next feature was bought by Andrew MacDonald (Trainspotting, 28 Days Later) and JUST DESSERTS, a TV pilot, was nominated for best regional drama at The Royal Television Society Awards. BIGGA THAN BEN (starring BEN BARNES) made it into The Times Top 100 Films (2008), won Best Comedy Feature at the Los Angeles DIY Film Festival, Best of the Fest at Edinburgh and was nominated for Best Feature at Austin Film Festival. The micro-budget independent film was a smash hit at the Russian box office. Suzie has directed short films, commercials and promos and the world’s first Interactive web series Running Time written and co-produced by Simon Beaufoy (Slumdog Millionaire), which was nominated for a BAFTA. Her short film ROCKET MAN premiered at Venice Biennale and TWO MINUTE WARNING which was released in the UK, Switzerland, Austria and Germany, won the Golden Boot at Portobello. Screenplays co-written with LA Times correspondent Richard Marosi include THE FORTRESS, a TV series set around the smuggling lines and drug cartels of Tijuana, which was picked up by Media 8 for production, and DEATH & DELIVERANCE, a feature about a couple of war journalists on vacation who get lost in the Arizona desert whilst covering a border story. DIVISION 19 starring LINUS ROACHE, ALISON DOODY and JAMIE DRAVEN is a science fiction film where prisoners are tracked & tested to monitor whether they can earn back their place in society. It won Fantasporto (Critics' Award) and Boston Sci-Fi (Best Director) and closed Sci-Fi London. It will be released in the US April 2019. She is currently working on a Gaza set comedy and a Barbados heist movie, both based on true stories.
