Biography

As a female director of Nepalese-Ukrainian heritage, I am committed to fostering diversity in storytelling and leadership. I am an imaginative director adept at storytelling, visual composition, and collaboration with creative teams. I have an established career in acting and more recently have also started writing and directing. My experience so far has been in short films and radio directing, alongside being in writing development for a feature film and drama series. Recently, I co-wrote and directed short film ‘Sleepeater’ for Decay Studio, set for the 2025 festival circuit. I have been lucky enough to shadow directors, producers and DOPs on high end productions such as Starz’s The Serpent Queen and Showtime’s Patrick Melrose. Alongside the insight I already have into the running of a set as an actress, this additional privilege has given me a solid understanding of the pre and post production stages. My first short, “The Carer” screened at festivals including BUFF connects, Underwire and British Shorts Berlin in 2022.

The Carer Short Film View
Description Year
'The Carer' written by Georgia Fitch, starring Priyanga Burford, Ninette Finch and Vikash Bhai, Eldub Films' first project produced by Lizzie Worsdell. It screened at several festivals including Underwire, BUFF, Raindance and British Shorts Berlin. Georgia wrote The Carer inspired by her own personal circumstances. As her own parents aged and some of her closest friends started to have to look after their parents, something was taken for granted and readily assumed; those who gave up full-time jobs, reorganised their lives, and even moved countries, were overwhelmingly female. We ran a successful crowdfunding campaign in February 2021 to raise the production funds, reaching our target in just 14 days and received support from a variety of high profile stars including Dame Judi Dench and Joanna Lumley. The film was then shot over 3 days on location in Oxfordshire the following month. We had a diverse, predominantly female cast and crew from a variety of backgrounds. 2022
