Meena Ayittey

Meena Ayittey is an award-winning film director based in London, driven by a deep passion for storytelling and human nature. From an early age, she was fascinated by the complexities of people and their experiences, which shaped her commitment to emotional, impactful filmmaking. Through her work, she amplifies voices that are often unheard, using film and writing as powerful tools for representation and change. Her inspirations are diverse, drawing from music, art, her personal experiences as a Black woman, and the broader challenges faced by the Black community. This rich perspective informs her unique storytelling approach, bringing authenticity and depth to her films. Meena studied Fine Art at London’s Central Saint Martins, where she honed her creative vision and developed a strong foundation in visual storytelling.
